Ashley Monroe

Ashley Monroe, a singer-songwriter of country music hailing from the United States. She released two singles in 2007 as well as an album called Satisfied. 2013 was the year she launched her second album entitled Like a Rose. Ashley Monroe Performing with Blake Shelton In 2015 she came out With The Blade, another album which gained her acclaim and accolades. Ashley Monroe has been in public service for more than fifteen years and has spent five years serving as deputy city manager in Iowa City. As Assistant Village Director, she oversees managing the Community Development and Building Department. This includes coordinating grant applications and finishing special projects. At Riverside Ashley supports everyday operations of the village's services, while also working towards the vision for strategic planning of elected officials and the entire community. Ashley's previous positions included municipal planning, communications for government and budgeting. She also managed personnel as well as collective negotiations. She also focused on actions to combat climate change. Ashley is able to benefit from her experiences working in a variety of community and national institutions. Additionally, she has learned about the way the public sector operates. Ashley's teaching focuses on the latest methods of public management and leadership from the standpoint of a seasoned practitioner. Ashley's focus on adapting to current challenges and opportunities, navigating community and intergovernmental relations, and making ethical decisions provides context for both aspiring professionals and those currently working in public institutions.
