Nancy O'Dell started her career in the broadcast industry as a reporter at WPDE-TV, Myrtle Beach South Carolina. Later she was a morning-news anchor as well as crime reporter for WCBD TV. When she was in Charleston O'Dell's reporting on the lenient police approach to DUI cases caused an State Law Enforcement Division investigation that led to State authorities issuing a more stringent directive regarding the instances. Ms. O'Dell won the Best Report of the Media Award in South Carolina by the Associated Press. Following her stint in Charleston, O'Dell worked as a co-anchor for NBC's Miami Station WTVJ-TV as well as an investigative reporter. She then was hired by Access Hollywood to work as the weekend and weekday correspondent. O'Dell is a leading anchor for Access Hollywood. In addition, she contributes in NBC News Today and Dateline NBC. She has co-hosted a variety of pre-show arrivals for The Emmys as well as The Golden Globe Awards.
